FRANKIE ACORD MURDER Fairdale

The body of FRANKIE ACORD 65 years of age of Fairdale, has been found on the old Maple Meadow Mine property. Mr. Acord had been murdered and it is believed that the murder occurred on or about February 9, 2012.
This murder is being investigated by the Raleigh County Sheriff`s Office.

BURGLARIES - Maplewood/Danese Area Fayette Co

The West Virginia State Police (Rainelle Detachment) and the Fayette County Sheriff`s Office are investigating a rash of burglaries in the Mpalewood/Danese area. Items stoleninclude TV`s, electrical appliances, guns and acoustic guitar. Burglars are taking anything they can pawn or sell.

The Raleigh County Sheriff`s Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Route 19 SUNOCO in Bradley on February 9th at approximately 9:00 PM. The suspect is described as a male, small in stature, wearing a black hat, black mask, black hoodie and black gloves.

January 2nd Armed Robbery GO MART Airport Road in Beaver

The Raleigh County Sheriff`s Office is investigating an armed robbery at the GO MART on Airport Road in Beaver that occurred on January 2nd at approximately 10:55 PM. The suspect brandished a small handgun and was described to be a male of medium build, approximately 5`11" - 6`2", wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black ski mask. A vehicle (pictured below) has now been identified as possibly being involved in the robbery and the Sheriff`s Office would like to identify the occupants of the vehicle as they are persons of interest. The vehicle is an early to mid 90`s Jeep Cherokee, dark in color, does NOT have a luggage rack on top.

The Detective Bureau of the Fayette County Sheriff`s Office is investigating the Breaking & Entering of the PHARMACY at the New River Family Health Center in Scarbro on January 24th. Suspect(s) stole in excess of 700 Oxycodone pills of various dosage levels (10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg, 60 mg and 80 mg), valued at more than $1,500.00, with an unestimated street value.

The Raleigh County Sheriff`s Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Beaver Go-Mart on January 2nd at approximately 10:55 PM. The suspect brandished a small handgun and demanded money frm the clerk. He was described as a male, approximately 5`11" - 6`2" and a medium build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a black ski mask. He left the store on foot northbound toward Beckley.

DOLLAR GENERAL BREAKING & ENTERING Glen Daniel

A breaking & entering occurred at the Dollar General in Glen Daniel on December 6th at approximately 3:30 AM. There are two suspects, believed to be males. One was wearing a red hoodie, black ski mask and gloves. The other was wearing a black hoodie, black ski mask and gloves. It is unknown what they took.
This is being investigated by the Raleigh County Sheriff`s Office.
HEAT PUMPS - Fayette County

The Fayette County Sheriff`s Office is investigating the theft of several heat pump units between 09/04/11 and 11/28/11. These heat pumps were stolen from churches in Springdale, Hico and Danese and from a residence in Russellville. Two suspects have been identified in connection with one of these thefts- Clifford Eugene Taylor and Richard Marshall Peck, but other suspects may be involved as well. We are seeking any information in connection with these thefts.

The Raleigh County Sheriff`s Office is investigating a Breaking & Entering to the FAIRDALE POST OFFICE. The break-in occurred between 5:00 PM Saturday, Oct 29th and 10:00 AM on Sunday Oct 30th.
WV HEATING & COOLING 218 Central Avenue Beckley
October 27, 2011
On October 27, 2011, at 8:00 PM, a male subject cut an opening into the fence leading onto the property of West Virginia Heating & Cooling located at 218 Central Avenue. Upon entering the property, the subject removed items from the vehicles, leaving through the fence opening with stolen items in hand at approximately 8:20 PM.
At 10:38 PM the same night, the male subject returned, accompanied by another male subject, entered through the opening that had been cut in the fence earlier that night and removed items from vehicles again, exiting through the fence a short time later with stolen items in hands. Both subject removed items.
Various tools and equipment were stolen from the vehicles. The entire incident was captured on video surveillance cameras and two still shots may be viewed below: Note in the first picture that in the lower middle (beside white van) you can see a face view of one of the subjects, who appears to be wearing light colored pants with a dark colored jacket. In the second picture appears to be the back view of a subject (bottom and slightly to right of middle).

ARSON in Sophia WV

ARSON: The Sophia Police Dept and the State Fire Marshal`s Office are investigating a fire which appears to have been deliberately set in a building on the 100 block of West Main Street in Sophia on October 11th. This is a very serious matter. Two occupants of the apartments and a maintenance worker had to be rescued by emergency responders.
